Summer School for Myology Paris-Berlin 2012
The Summer School for Myology Paris-Berlin is held in June each year and is intended for MyoGrad students, interested graduate students from other programs, medical students, postdocs and clinicians.
Clinical and basic research scientists in the field of muscle sciences should be familiar with the relevant diseases. However, in order to understand the upcoming tools for gene therapy, the complex methodology to investigate pathogenic mechanisms inside the muscle cells and the sophisticated techniques to generate disease models teaching in muscle sciences needs to reach beyond clinical myology.
The Summer School spans topics ranging from basic muscle sciences to clinical myology. Two teaching modules, one in Berlin and one in Paris have been closely coordinated and complement each other. Together, they comprise more than 60 lectures held by world-leading scientists and clinicians. Workshops provide participants with hands-on-experience in the lab.
